Now that Dior Homme on East 57th Street has been properly renovated to include a second-floor area for tailored clothing and VIPs, it seems about that time for the brand to introduce made-to-measure suits in NYC. WWD reports that customers will be able to choose from 200 suit fabrics and 160 shirt fabrics, selected by Dior Homme's Creative Director Kris Van Assche. The article adds that an on-site tailor will take the measurements, but the suits themselves will be handmade in Paris.
From there, they'll take five to eight weeks to arrive, and will likely be priced substantially above $2,800—the starting rate for one of Dior's off-the-rack suits. (Specific prices will naturally vary, depending on fabric and extra details.) As for the finishing touch? WWD writes that the suit "will be delivered in its own special packaging: a black cotton gabardine garment bag for suits and a white travel cover for shirts, both embroidered with tone-on-tone lettering."
