The Barneys Warehouse Sale didn't draw that huge of a crowd this morning, but things definitely picked up around lunchtime, with portions of the women's area much more frenzied. However, if you're a dude, or a lady who's looking to shop for a dude, you're in luck: The menswear section in the basement is downright relaxing compared to the high-speed consumption going on upstairs.

As we've previously noted, the following warehouse sale after this will focus on menswear, and it appears that's already begun. When you head down the stairs, you'll first find a well-ordered collection of suits, including a Dolce & Gabbana Martini suit for $799 (was $2,325), and a Paul Smith double-breasted suit for $519 (was $1475). You'll also find a lot of options from the Barneys private label.

Moving away from the suits, you'll hit the main warehouse floor. Casual pants and jeans arranged on racks, and slacks are stacked in plywood bins. We spotted Earnest Sewn jeans for $79 and Rag & Bone skinnies for $89. Slacks ran a little steeper, with John Varvatos for $219 and Burberry Prorsum for $259.

The dress shirts selection is seemingly endless, and as always it's neatly organized and wrapped in plastic. All sizes seem to be in stock, and prices are mostly within the $100 to $160 range. This display is flanked by two impossibly colorful wheels of printed ties, from subdued paisleys to eye-popping florals. Lining the nearby wall are rows of outerwear. If you've got the cash, there's an agnès b. x Barneys baseball jacket for $799 (was $2,008), and an Alexander McQueen overcoat for $669 (was $1,920).

As you get closer to the registers, you'll find the accessories and casual shirts. There are racks of tees and polos from T by Alexander Wang and Vince. Expect price tags here to be largely under $50. Across the floor is a small section of scarves and wool caps, and shoes are located directly adjacent to the cash register. Among the options we spotted some basic Tod's loafers for $279 (from $565) and Pierre Hardy boots for $229 (was $470).—Becca Endicott
