More than 400 teenagers swarmed the Kings Plaza mall last night, fighting, smashing displays, and stealing. The mob was organized on social media with the goal to put the mall "on tilt." Macy's, Victoria's Secret, and MAC all rolled down their security gates in the midst of the madness, and the mall itself closed for about an hour.
Police sources aren't sure why the teens brought violence and mayhem the mall, but it's believed that the kids incorrectly expected a performance by suddenly relevant rapper Fabolous. The New York Post has a video of the incident.
