Come Fashion Week in February, New York will be seeing more than just its own stateside designers. Japan's largest department store operator, Isetan Mitsukoshi Holdings (think Bergdorfs, but Land of the Rising Sun style) will host a pop-up shop on Greene Street from February 6 through the 13th featuring some of the country's hottest brands. According to WWD, you can expect to find names like Yohji Yamamoto, Facetasm, Mint Designs, and N. Hoolywood.
This high-end venture is supported by the Japanese government's "Cool Japan" campaign, whose goals include promoting the country's businesses across the globe. In addition to buzzy designers, native food and drink will be on offer as well.
