Nicola Formichetti's Pop Up Is the Most Neon Thing In Tribeca

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Nicola Formichetti has set up a glow in the dark holiday pop-up shop in the unlikely neighborhood of Tribeca (his favorite, apparently), an area known more for its wealthy residents than its new rave scene. Under the blacklights, shoppers will find a selection of Nicopanda t-shirts ("Whip$ & Chain$ & Candy Cane$" reads one), feather-rimmed sunglasses, and platform sneakers.

This is one of those picture-is-worth-a-thousand-words scenarios, so click through for a look inside the mindblowing pop up, open now through December 23rd, 3:15pm to 9:15pm daily. If you do stop by, you'll be treated to drunk elves, "wish fulfillment," and a night of Vouging, among other surprises.
