Say so long to Diesel at Union Square. Come spring 2014, Reebok will open a combination cross-fit gym and retail concept store in that prime corner location, making it the brand's largest of its three Fit Hub stores in the city. And this is just one of ten stores that Reebok is planning to open throughout the country next year.
The 4,800-square foot shop and 6,800-square foot underground gym has good company in the neighborhood: With health-focused spots like the Union Square Greenmarket and Whole Foods, "Union Square is developing into a wellness district in its own right," said Jeremy Ezra, vice president of real estate firm RKF, who was involved in the lease negotiations.
