'Tis the season to watch your back, apparently. In the early afternoon of December 7, three men made off with more than $16,000 worth of merchandise from the Burberry Brit store on Columbus Avenue, according to DNAinfo. Among the stolen goods were 26 scarves, 12 polo shirts worth $2,100, seven wallets, and four iPhone cases.
Witnesses told police that the thieves were two men in their 30s and one who was about 40. Police said the men told shoppers and staff, "Don't come near," "it's not about you, stay away," and "it's not personal," as they were robbing the store. They then fled northbound in a green Toyota Camry. The Columbus Avenue store staff and the Burberry corporate office did not respond to DNAinfo's requests for comment.
