The Peregrine Showroom sample sale opened this morning at 10am, with men's and women's merchandise from Oliver Spencer, Gilded Age, Chimala, and Sandqvist. While we were there, we also got to play with Olive, Peregrine's cool mascot dog who will also be at the sale.
For the guys, all sizes are available, but most of the Oliver Spencer goods are mediums or a size 32 waist. Lather jackets are going for $220 to $500, and lightweight and heavy outerwear is $200 to $250. Sweaters (in varying weights and an array of colors) will cost you $100 to $120 and vests are $140. Casual and dressy button ups are $40 to $60 ,and graphic and striped tees are $25 to $35.
We found jeans for $60 to $100 with other pants at $70 to $95. It looks like the waist sizes max out at 38. There's also a small section of shoes going for $75.
The ladies section is smaller than the guys, but we found shirts, sweaters, and pants in a range of sizes, with the majority of them priced between $60 and $120. Jeans for women are available in sizes 24 through 29 and going for $90 to $100. There are no shoes for women.
In the accessories area, there's a good selection of leather bags in the $100 to $250 range and some sturdy canvas options for $75 to $125. Ties, hats, and gloves are going for $30. Belts will cost you $50. There's a bin of leather goods from Il Bussetto for $40, including some animal shaped leather pouches.
Cash and credit cards are accepted, and they'll be restocking every night. There's one fitting room and it's one person at a time, but there are a couple of mirrors throughout the space. The sale runs through Sunday; check out the dealFeed below for location and hours.—Mickey Sery
