H&M's highly anticipated Isabel Marant collaboration drops on Thursday, November 14th, after months of leaked campaign images and lookbook shots. The question, as always, is: can the designer's slouchy French aesthetic translate to H&M production? Does it even matter, since people will probably start lining up a day in advance regardless?
After the jump, we've broken down everything you need to know about shopping the collection on launch day—from what stores will be carrying it, what time they'll open, how the line system works, the rundown on returns, how much you can buy, and whether or not you should just shop online. Click through to get your game plan together.
Where to Shop It
In Manhattan, there are ten H&M stores that will carry the collection: both Herald Square stores (1328 Broadway and 435 Seventh Avenue); both Soho stores (558 Broadway and 515 Broadway); and all three Fifth Avenue stores (the Flatiron store at 111 Fifth Avenue, the location at 42nd Street at 505 Fifth Avenue, and the flagship at 640 Fifth Avenue at 51st Street).
Both Lexington Avenue stores will have it (731 Lexington Avenue at 59th Street, and 150 East 86th Street at Lex), as will the 10 Columbus Circle location and the upcoming 4 Times Square store.
Major Update, 11/11: The new Times Square store will open at 12:01am on Thursday. (Lady Gaga will also be there cutting the ribbon. Seriously.) It'll be "the first store worldwide to debut the Isabel Marant for H&M collection to the public," though the time that it will launch has not yet been confirmed. We're waiting for an official response, and will add that in once it comes through the wire.
The Queens Center Mall store (90-15 Queens Blvd) will also have the collab, but it doesn't look like the brand new Downtown Brooklyn store will, as right now it's not listed on the Marant store locator on H&M's website.

When to line up
The above mentioned stores will open at 8am on launch day, and H&M's standard line format will be implemented. Straight from the site: The first
300 420 people* in line will be given a colored bracelet that represents a group; and there are 14 colors with one from each group of 30 customers. Your color determines when it's time to shop in the designer collection area. Each group will have 15 minutes to shop, with 5 minutes between slots."
If you're not one of the first
300 420, you will not get a bracelet, and won't be able to shop until all of the bracelet customers have been let in. Meaning, if you want in early, get there early. (The line for the Margiela and Marni collabs all began a day in advance.)
Staffers will monitor the lines and administer the bracelets, and you'll be able to spot them pretty easy—our sister site gleaned via a tipster that they'll be wearing these cute shirts. (*Previously, only 300 people were getting bracelets, but H&M has since upped that number to 420!)
How much you can buy
Shoppers will be permitted to purchase four of each style in store.
What you should buy
We checked out the collection for ourselves at the brand's showroom this afternoon, and it does seem like the merchandise is about H&M quality (which is not to say it's of Isabel Marant quality.) The chunky knits are all really sturdy, and the signature jacket is actually pretty heavy.
Here's the entire lookbook via our sister site, complete with pricing. We suggest getting a solid idea of what you want ahead of time.
The lowdown on returns
The most important thing to know about returns is that you'll only be able to bring back Isabel Marant merchandise for seven days. (Note: that number has recently changed from the previous rule, which was only three days) Do not forget your receipt, and note that accessories are not returnable.
Prefer to skip all that and shop online?
Here's the breakdown of how it will work if you opt to shop online: you'll only be able to buy one of each item, and the collab will hit the site at 12pm EST. This is the first time H&M has had e-commerce during a collaboration launch, so do with that information what you will.
