C. Wonder's first-ever sample sale kicks off this morning, and we bet it will be popular. Boasting 75% off retail prices on whimsical womenswear, accessories, shoes, and home goods, this one's got plenty to offer as we turn our collective thoughts to the holiday gift-giving season.
A massive draw is that nothing at the sale is over $75. Even better, the sales floor is laid out well, so this means there's plenty of breathing room to browse the clothing and totally giftable pet accessories, housewares, and cozy throws, without getting overwhelmed.
Among the clothing, we spied piles of colorful preppy standbys, including striped tees and sweaters, sparkly sweaters and cardigans, shirt dresses, and classic pea coats. Prices are reasonable and generally on par with what we've seen on C. Wonder's end-of-season clearance racks. Of course, the best deals are on current season merchandise. A pair of metallic leopard print pants are $50, a cherry-print shirt dress is $65, and quirky patterned blouses are $40. There's a full spread of sizes available, ranging from size x-small to x-large.
The shoe selection and accessories are equally as solid and priced to move. All shoes, regardless of style and season, are $50 a pair. The offerings include classic pumps, wedges, espadrilles, loafers, and flats in a variety of colors and patterns. We loved the pairs emblazoned with tortoise shell and floral patterns. Among the jewels, we spotted lots of statement necklaces and sparkly studs, with nothing over $30.
You'll probably want to focus the bulk of your attention on the housewares. Prices range from $5 to $25 and probably would satisfy some of your most difficult to shop for friends. We were particularly attracted to the ceramic trays, monogrammed cheese boards, and pet bowls and collars. We also spotted bicycle locks and portable speakers, so be prepared for the unexpected and the possibility of unearthing some treasures.
