In keeping with tradition, there is a sign outside the location of the invite-only Christian Louboutin sample sale declaring that there is no sample sale, despite being widely reported on sale blogs. Our source on the front lines reports that there is "absolutely no one in line." Past sales have been appointment-only (again, with invitation).
Typically, the day before the sale—which the ever vocal Jim Shi has confirmed invitation to and thus existence of—sees VVIP entrance, but the Twitterverse was strangely quiet yesterday. In the past, those invited have been plenty happy to share on social media.
Update: An Instagram from none other than Johnny Weir (as well as tweets from several others) confirm it's definitely happening.
