The Steven Alan sample sale starts today, and at last night's sneak peek there was an entire basement packed with the men's and women's clothing from the brand, as well as a main floor fitted with designers like Sea NY, Wren, Ulla Johnson, Mollusk, Ace & Jig, Edith A Miller, Courtshop, Rachel Comey and Clare Vivier. There are price lists posted for the Steven Alan items, and all other vendors are priced as marked.
Women's accessories are upstairs, and include colorful necklaces from Bluma Project for $40, Steven Alan sunglasses for $75, Clare Vivier bags for $75 to $300, and Rachel Comey bags and shoes starting at $200.
There are Edith A. Miller jumpsuits for $50, Courtshop denim for $78, Wren dresses for $100, Ulla Johnson silk blouses for $130 and Sea dresses for $145.
Downstairs at the Steven Alan floor, there are skirts for $39, pants for $49, sweaters for $69, dresses for $79, and outerwear for $159. We saw sizes petite through large and 0 through 10.
In the women's shoe section, there were Steven Alan heels for $125 as well as Nikes for $25, Common Projects for $100, Isabel Marant sneakers for $150 and even more Rachel Comey shoes for $125. The majority of the sizes looked to be 6 through 9. There are even two boxes full of shoes for only $5.
The Steven Alan optical table upstairs has sunglasses for $75, and most of the men's merchandise is downstairs. Sizes run from small to extra extra large and 29-36 for pants. We found pocket squares for $10, hats for $15, and scarves going for $40.
There are pants and jeans for $59, button ups for $68, sweaters for $69, blazers for $99, and outerwear for $159. In the back, you'll find the shoe section which has Vans, Nike, New Balance and Steven Alan for $25 through $150. Shoe sizes looked to be 7 through 13.
There's also a home goods area with finds from from Haand, Clamlab, and BTW Ceramics. They will be restocking during the sale, but they are only taking credit cards—no cash. There are no fitting rooms and very few mirrors, so you might want to bring a friend or grab what you can first and decide later. The sale starts at 9am today and runs through Sunday at 87 Franklin Street.
