Nothing says "ultimate luxury" quite like a trip to a fancy hotel spa, and New York City has more than enough to deplete a few bank accounts. From classic facials to traditional Japanese Shiatsu, the five hotel spas on the list below offer it all and then some, whether you're in the mood for a tip in a Moroccan Hammam, microdermabrasion, body wraps and scrubs, or some vinotherapy.

Guerlain Spa at the Waldorf Astoria
The Waldorf's Guerlain Spa actually just expanded its menu, so there are now even more lavish treatments to partake in, including new microdermabrasion and microcurrent lift services. Massages start at $195 for 50 minutes, and run up to $555 for the 80 minutes 4-Hand Impériale Relaxing Massage. The spa also offers seven different types of facials. [More info]

The Greenwhich Hotel's woody Shibui Spa might just be one of the most relaxing places in the entire city. There's a swimming pool lit with lanterns and four separate treatment rooms, all enclosed under a wood and bamboo roof. Treatments range from "Elemental Harmonizer" facials, which include a natural enzyme peel and custom mask ($200 for 60 minutes, $280 for 90) to body wraps and scrubs in the wet room. Five different types of massages are also available, as well as reflexology, and traditional Japanese Shiatsu. [More info]

They also offer Kate Somerville facials, as well as access to Turkish and Moroccan Hammams. [More info]
