This week's Lauren Merkin sample sale is neatly organized and all bags are marked with the discounted prices along with the original price. Most bags are discounted up to 70%, but you'll find bargain bins ($20, $40, $50 and $60 items) and press samples. Prices start at $10 for card cases and top off at $250 for a press sample Reese tote bag.

Although most colors and styles are from past seasons, there are still classic colors (like black and brown) available. There are also a lot of styles that you might recognize from the last sample sale back in August. The table with small leather goods has metallic card cases with green or pink lining ($10), mini, small, and large wallets ($25-$70), zip pouches ($20), iPad pouches in brown, black, and red with gold embroidery ($30) and 1st generation iPad booklets in red, blue and black ($25).

We were slightly disappointed with the bargain bins selection. There's really nothing worth grabbing, unless you're into purple cheetah patters or blue snakeskin purses (no judgement). Some merchandise is damaged and worn out on the corners, but starting at $20, it might still be worth a dig. We spotted a shopper who grabbed six Louise clutches (made with lambskin and soft like butter) for $60 a pop.

Beside the bins, there are some decent black and white chevron pony hair and quilted beige Iris bags from the last sample sale now going for $50. There are also current and discontinued Iris bags for $125-$175 (originally $325-$475), Mini Marlow bags for $125-$150 (originally $325), Simone purses for $225 (originally $525), Parker crossbody bags for $125 (originally $350), and elegant Molly purses for $100-$125.

Lucca snap clutches are $95 (originally $250), and Crosby metallic clutches are $60 (from $385). As for bigger bags: the Quinn is $195, the Paige is $150, and two remaning Reese totes are $175. (There were also four black Reese press samples for $250). Louise, Eve, and Lucy bags are all also at the sale.

Unfortunately there won't be any restocking. The sale runs through Thursday, from 11am to 7pm daily at 231 W. 29th Street.—Hsini
