Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.
Welcome to Racked's weekly Agenda: a rundown of the best sales, store events, pop-up shops, and more for the next seven days. This week's highlights include a handful of sample sales, from Pierre Balmain to Kleinfeld, and the opening of the COS pop-up shop inside Opening Ceremony. Click through to see them all, and keep checking back—we'll update the list as new events come in.
Tuesday
The Scotch & Soda sample sale starts today, as does the one-day only Kleinfeld bridal blowout. At the latter, sample gowns start at $699.
Warren-Tricomi's Flatiron salon opens today, complete with 4,000 square feet of room to groom and an outside terrace. Skinney Medspa will offer treatments like laser hair removal and chemical peels, and Kristie Streicher Beauty Bar will offer makeup services and wackier things, like henna cased eyebrow and eyelash "enhancements."
Wednesday
The Pierre Balmain sample sale begins today, offering up to 70% off men's and women's clothing. See the hours and address in the dealfeed here.
Thursday
The BLK DNM sample sale begins today and runs through Monday. The first 50 people to shop each day will get a $50 gift card to be spent on denim in the store.
Friday
COS will arrive stateside for the very first time today, at a pop-up shop inside Opening Ceremony in Soho. The brand, which is owned by H&M, specializes in basic men's and womenswear reminiscent of Jil Sander or Céline—but at a much cheaper price point.
Saturday
A friendly reminder that this is the first weekend the Park Slope Flea will be run by the folks behind the beloved Brooklyn Flea. Longstanding vendors from the Fort Greene and Williamsburg fleas will be "sprinkled in," new vendors from the waiting list will be added, and there will only be one person selling food. More info's on the site.
