For today's project in his month-long residency of New York City, Banksy bought a painting from the Housing Works Thrift Shop on East 23rd Street, painted a little portrait of a Nazi on it, and redonated it to the store. (It's called The banality of the banality of evil.) Gothamist spoke with employees at the store, who said they plan to put the painting up for auction, and as of now, don't know what the starting price will be.
