Tory Burch Confirmed for Soho Store With Potential Roof Garden

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Earlier this month, we broke the news that Tory Burch would opening a store at 151 Mercer Street. Up until that point, the address belonged to MercBar owner John McDonald, who told the Wall Street Journal that the "structural deterioration" of the building was ultimately the reason for the closure.

The Tory Burch team plans to build an entirely new building, which the Post reports will—pending approval by city Landmarks—encompass five floors, 12,500 square feet, and include a roof garden.
