The Laura Mercier sample sale began today at Clothingline, with a selection of products that are impeccably organized. Some of the brands best sellers were among the picks in limited colors, with discounts of 55% to 70% off retail prices. Samples are laid out on six different tables for shoppers with small mirrors. Once you pick out what you like, an employee will help you fetch the boxed product behind the tables. There seems to be an abundance of stock, but note that there are no tinted moisturizers, loose powders, face polishes, or concealers.
Highlights include Laura Mercier's Baked Eye Color in three different shades for $10. There are also Eyebrow Pencils (five shades) and Kohl Eye Pencils (five shades) for $10. Eyeliners and pencil sharpening tools are $10. Brown mascara is $10 and crème brûlée scented candles are $20.
Nail lacquers are $8 and came in eight totally wearable colors, including Bare Angel, En Pointe, Nude Silk, Bare Rose, and Moderne Red. Liquid Moisture Supreme Foundation is $20, and lipsticks and lip glosses are $12. The Flawless Skin Tone Perfecting Duet, which includes a face cream and eye gel, is $45 (currently $76 online). If you're planning a vacation to warm-weather places over the holidays, pick up the limited-edition Body Bronzing Make Up for only $9 (retail $38).
At the same sale space, you will also find sales (mostly overstock) for La Fee Verte (great fur jackets!), James Jeans, and luxurious cashmere from Manrico. The sale runs through Thursday; see the dealfeed below for more details.—Hsini
