Jonathan Adler Joining Greene St, Selling 40 Pound Lucite Hippos

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Greene Street has seen its fair share of new residents in the last six months: Warby Parker, Prozena Schouler, Saint Laurent, Alice + Olivia and more have opened flagship stores on the posh Soho block, and now Jonathan Adler will join them. The interior and accessories brand will open the doors to its 2,200 square foot store at 53 Greene Street on October 25th.

Inside, shoppers will find the full range from Adler, including furniture, pottery, and the new accessories collection (which recently got a shop of its own). There will also be exclusives, including a grapefruit-scented soap-on-a-rope for $14 and a 40-pound Lucite hippo sculpture, which can be yours for $795.
