Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.
Anna Sheffield's first standalone store is now open at 47 Orchard Street. The store carries her fine jewelry and bridal collections, opting out of including the lower-priced Bing Bang line to focus on the namesake collections. All of the decor nicely compliments both the merchandise and Sheffield's New Mexico roots, from the herringbone floors to the wooden display cases she made herself.
If you needed further proof that she's genuinely magical, here's who serenaded friends at last night's preview party: Spanish Guitar player Juan Bautista, who also plays at the Bedford Avenue subway stop. The store will host another party tomorrow night that's open to the public from 7pm to 9pm.
