Fashionable performance sportswear brand Aether opens the doors to their first NYC shop today at 13 Crosby Street. The company was founded on the idea that there should be outdoor gear that doesn't make you look like a total dweeb when you're walking around the city (you have to get to the wilderness somehow). This translates to apparel and accessories fit to climb a mountain—or run a trail—but done in a city-friendly palette of dark neutrals with pops of lime, orange, and royal blue.
The New York shop is the brand's third, following a brick and mortar in San Francisco and a mobile store housed in an Airstream trailer. In the city, they join a host of similarly design-minded outdoor enthusiast shops including Best Made Co. and Hatchet Outdoor Supply.
