For last night's Racked Awards, a handful of Racked's editorial team decided to step it up a notch and pick out a loaner dresses from Rent the Runway. The brand was nice enough to waive the rental fee, which starts around $65 when you order from the site.
Though they rent out gowns and cocktail dresses from Badgley Mischka, Hervé Léger, Cushnie et Ochs and a slew of other brands nationally, booking an appointment at the Varick Street showroom is your best bet if you live local so that you can try on your picks before fully committing.
We stopped by around 10am this past Monday, and were each able to try on two sizes in two-three dresses. After a lot of deliberation and full-length mirror selfies, five winners were chosen: a Tibi Metallic Jacquard dress, the Calvin Klein Pravat dress, the Parker Blanche sheath, the Allison Parris Lisa dress, and the Versus by Versace Against All Odds Dress.
