Shop Dresses from the Red Carpet at the Pamella Roland Sale

The Pamella Roland stock and sample sale begins today at the designer's showroom, and definitely worth the trip to prep for any upcoming black-tie events. There are plenty of gowns and dresses to look through, but the space allocated for the sale is not very large. This means there's be a limit on how many people are allowed to shop at once, and that large bags, coats, and baby strollers must all be checked. If you can, leave the kids at home.

There's a great selection of stock and samples ranging from size 4-16 and the discount is up to 70% off. Normally a Pamella Roland dress would cost anywhere from $900 and up, but at this sale they're priced as low as $325.

If you choose to buy two dresses, the discount becomes even greater: For example, one beaded gown costs $495, but two beaded gowns comes out to $825. There are gowns, cocktail dresses, coats and separates, mostly all from the Fall 2011 through Spring 2012 collections. The sizes do range, but the majority of merchandise is either a size four or six—classic sample size.

Bonus: Quite a few of the dresses there have been worn by celebrities on the red carpet. We found the red gown that Nurse Jackie's Merrit Wever wore to the Emmy's, and a black gown with leather detailing worn by Rebecca Minkoff.

There's a set price list that's broken down by category. Gowns are $400, but gowns with beading are $495. Dresses are $325, and dresses with beading are $375. All pants, skirts and blouses are $175, and jackets are $275. This list covers mostly everything, but there are a couple of exceptions that are priced as marked. Also note that there's no formal dressing room for trying on.
