Never been able to catch one of Isaac Mizrahi's fashion shows? No worries—instead, you can catch the designer at the Laurie Beechman Theatre this month when he performs not one, but three cabaret shows. WWD mentions that this isn't Mizrahi's first time in the ring, as he's previously performed at Joe's Pub on Lafayette Street and Smoke uptown. However, this upcoming schedule of shows sounds like a doozy.
The show is called "Ask Isaac!," and Mizrahi told the paper that if all goes well, he hopes the audience will shout out questions. Of his pre-show jitters, he explained: "More than any other kind of performance, cabaret is like having dinner with them sitting in their laps for one hour and 10 minutes." In addition to symbolically sitting in your lap, if you attend one of the shows you just might walk away with something. "I do regift at my shows. You don't have to spend money at my shows but you have to take with you things that I don't want."
