Ever notice that sometimes there's a strange assemblage of teeny-boppers hanging around the Supra store in Nolita? Well, here's what that's all about. Recently, a staffer told us that ever since Justin Bieber wore the brand's Society model in purple for his Never Say Never tour documentary, the store has seen an increasing number boys, girls, and their parents requesting the shoes.
Bieber never had an endorsement deal with Supra—he's actually currently endorsing Adidas—but he's apparently a fan. "It created a buzz. People definitely come in asking to wear the same shoe as him, which has generated a lot of foot traffic," says one store employee. But sadly, Beliebers, the purple sneaker is no longer available. They are, however, currently being sold in other colors in-store and online. The men's black style is $150, and there's a women's snakeskin edition debuting on February 1st for $105.
