Working retail isn't necessarily hazard-free job. Case in point: An employee at Cadillac's Castle, a consignment shop in the East Village, was bit on the hand by a thief who was caught trying to steal a pair of $350 Jimmy Choo boots. According to DNAinfo, a scuffle ensued on the sidewalk after a female employee confronted the woman, Melissa Scott, after noticing security tags were hanging out of her bag.

The article explains: "Scott then bit the employee on the right hand—her jaw clenched so tight a neighboring store owner had trouble prying her off." Once removed, Scott then ran up St. Mark's Place, where she bit someone else—this time, it was the police officer who arrested her.
