The Kiki de Montparnasse sample sale opened at 11am this morning on the second floor of the brand's Greene Street boutique. The ambiance, with the lights dim and the vibe quaint, was exactly what you'd hope for while shopping for your most intimate of garments. It seemed, though, that this was an attempt to make shoppers feel as comfortable as possible while spending around $100 on a single bra. Although the discounts ranged from 60% to 70% off (with most of the pieces discounted up to 70%), the stuff was still rather pricey.

There is, however, a ton of stock on all sorts of bras, panties, and chemises. Most of the merchandise marked 60% off is from this past season, like a lacey corselette and panty set. But something like that will still run you about $158 for the top and $126 for the matching bottoms. For right under 300 bucks, you can have yourself just the right V-day ensemble.

Can't find your size on the sales floor? There's extra stock in the back, which the staffers will happily bring out to you. But again, be prepared to spend a pretty penny. While Kiki de Montparnasse bras retail around $300, you will still be paying over $100 for something in satin and silk. There's a table filled with all sorts of silk bras marked down to $112.50, and another display of silk panties ranging from marked down $28.50 to $45, depending on how much frill you prefer.

Toward the back of the sale, you'll find racks of lace bras and panties for $89 and $48 respectively. There is also a multitude of chemises and nightgowns ranging from about $150 to $200. And if the cold weather gets to you, you may be enticed to pick up a pair of cashmere leggings—just be prepared to bounce $345.

The cheapest piece we found? A pile of cotton and lace panties with sexy sayings printed on the back that cost right under $25. Oh—and those were only left in extra small. The bottom line: Perhaps you might consider bringing your boyfriend to shop this sale—the prices may not bother him so much when he sees just how sexy you can get. The sale runs through Sunday, January 27th. For additional details, see the dealfeed below. —Claudia Saide
