Despite the relatively calm scene this weekend, it's clear that a lot of damage has already been done to the Scoop wareshouse sale in Soho: size ranges were decimated, and most styles were down to only one or two pieces. That said, the offerings are still fairly impressive, with triple markdowns on items by designers such as Maison Martin Margiela, Jimmy Choo, and See by Chloé.
If you're looking for outerwear, this is the time and place to buy it—you can score a double-layered Derek Lam coat for as little as $300. There's also an entire rack of fur, with pieces inside the $500 range. And if you're looking forward to spring, you can score plenty of leg-baring party dresses, some for under $100.
Here's a breakdown of the rest of the merchandise you'll find at the sale:
Shoes: By Saturday afternoon, the shoe rack was looking pretty pathetic, with only a few styles of boots and one or two pairs of cocktail-party heels left, all in hit-or-miss sizes. If you're either a small or large size, you could get lucky. We spied a pair of killer peep toe Margiela wedges in a size 37, marked down from $960 to $290. On the wall, you'll find peep-toe booties and sparkly gold Jimmy Choo ballet flats with a fuller size range.
Sweaters: On the table at the entrance to the sale area of the store, you'll find Scoop brand sweaters that range from $55 to $105. Sizes are almost all large. We didn't find too many other designer sweaters in the sale—save for a few T by Alexander Wang pieces toward the back.
Bags & Accessories: The bags have been nearly cleaned out, but there are some hats and belts left on a shelving unit next to the dressing rooms. You can score a fur trapper hat for about $70.
Denim: Lots of colored denim and corduroys to be had, but in a very slim size range. 24s and 28s and up will have the most luck. Prices are around $50.
Mens: Roughly one third of the sale is men's, with prices in the same ballpark as the women's merchandise. The majority of the mens inventory is made up of button-downs, pull overs, and jeans; almost no mens shoes or outerwear.
The sale runs all the way through Sunday, February 3rd, which leaves plenty of time to make it down there—however, we don't suggest waiting too long. Can't make it in person? The sale is also happening online. See the dealfeed below for hours and additional info.
