In December, downtown stalwart Eva New York announced that it would be closing early this year, after hosting one big going-away sale. However, the retail gods must have been smiling on the Bowery, because store owner Stephanie Pappas just let us know that they're not going to shutter after all.
The reason the shop will be able to stay in business is because Pappas recently struck up a partnership with the footwear brand Plomo. The front of the store will continue to sell the same Eva brands as normal, like Collina Strada, Don't Shoot The Messengers, Pleasure Principle, and more, along with Plomo shoes. The back of the shop, on the other hand, will now be a private wholesale room. To celebrate the new joint venture, Eva wil offer a selection of Plomo shoes for up to 70% off from February 1st through February 3rd.
