Dr. Martens had planned to open its Union Square location sometime before Black Friday, but didn't quite make that deadline. Instead, the brand debuted its new Broadway shop in mid-December, with ample time to capitalize on holiday shoppers and runoff from the nearby Holiday Market.
According to a press release, the space—which resides in the former home of VMV Hypoallergenics—was designed "with a nod" to its British manufacturing heritage. The merchandise includes the signature boots and shoes, as well as a ready-to-wear collection and accessories.
