Up until now, the Ivanka Trump boutique in Soho was predominantly known as a fine jewelry destination, but WWD reports that it will be turned into a lifestyle store on Thursday. In addition to housing the line's blingy baubles, the shop will now carry a wider selection of shoes and bags, along with apparel; in the spring, eyewear and fragrance will debut.
The company expects to bring in the big bucks with the new offerings. They report that footwear sales "more than doubled" this year, and that they expect the same results within the next year. And since subtlety isn't in the Trump bloodstream, Ivanka will kickoff the store revamp with a fashion show that WWD says will be resemble America's Next Top Model. Though the winner doesn't get a CoverGirl contract, she will become the new face of Trump's fine jewelry line.
