We've already covered the nominees for New York City's best new store, but now let's take a look at what shopping destination was the Store of the Year. For this category, the list has been narrowed down to the top five contenders, two of which just celebrated big anniversaries: Bergdorf Goodman turned 111 this year, and Opening Ceremony, though considerably younger, turned 10.
And over the past few months, you would have been hard-pressed to have a conversation about the city's ever-evolving retail scene without a mention of Fivestory, an ultra-luxe boutique nestled inside an Upper East Side townhouse. And then there's Zara, who recently opened a massive Fifth Avenue flagship, further cementing its reputation as a store that most New Yorkers actually shop at.
Our list concludes with Bird, the Brooklyn empire that recently launched an e-commerce site, bringing the borough's style to a national stage. So who had the best year? Head to the poll to cast your vote.
Update: The poll is now closed.
