Further proof that shoe stores are having the best year ever: Dr. Martens has just signed a lease for its second location at 868 Broadway in Union Square. Crain's reports that it won't be too long now, since the store plans to open sometime before Black Friday in November.
Previously, the Union Square address belonged to VMV Hypoallergenics, a specialty skincare boutique that relocated to 62 Crosby Street in Soho about two months ago. According to the article, it looks like Dr. Martens plans to stick around for a while, since the lease they just signed was for a ten-year deal.
