This year, New York City tragically lost a few of its best sample sales (Steven Alan moved theirs to the Internet, and Alexander Wang and Opening Ceremony never happened), but by our count, there were still ten great sample sales that delivered phenomenal goods and discounts. For our second Racked Awards poll, we ask: What was the best sample sale this year?
Contenders include the spring DVF sale, where the designer herself made a personal appearance, along with the far-more secretive Marchesa and Manolo Blahnik sales. The markdowns were bananas at the Creatures of Comfort and Rent the Runway, and the crowds were equally ravenous at Diptyque, AllSaints, Rebecca Minkoff, and Loeffler Randall. And then there was moving day at Pat Field, where everything from Christian Louboutins to chicken costumes were up for grabs.
Update: The poll is now closed.
