The upcoming Dolce & Gabbana flagship on Fifth Avenue has been under construction for quite some time now, but Women's Wear Daily reports that it should be open for business sometime this November. The article adds that the brand is also looking to open a store in Soho, and The Shophound points out that the former D&G store on West Broadway is still vacant.
Stefano Gabbana told WWD that the Soho store will be "completely different from any other unit." He adds, "We are tired of seeing the same stores everywhere, all these designer stores, including ours, they look all the same." So even though it sounds like Soho is getting all the bells and whistles, hopefully the Fifth Avenue location doesn't look too predictable; after all, it's taken them well over a year to plan it all out.
