Out of all the streets in Manhattan, Madison Avenue seems to be having the easiest time filling its vacant storefronts (who are we kidding—there probably aren't any left). Today, high-end jewelry brand Ippolita joins the Upper East Side's shopping directory, with a brand new location at 796 Madison Avenue.
The boutique, which is hard to miss thanks to a florescent window display, is Ippolita's first in the U.S., and roughly the fifth step in a major expansion plan that began last year. So far, four shop-in-shops have been opened at Bloomingdale's and Neiman Marcus, and by the end of next year, 25 stand-alone stores are expected to spring up as well. The uptown location also coincides with another milestone for Ippolita: a collection of leather bracelets and clutches, all handcrafted in Italy.
