Yigal Azrouël Opens on Madison, Cut25 on Lexington to Follow

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

The Yigal Azrouël neighborhood swap is officially complete. The designer's Madison Avenue store opened this week, replacing the one that closed after ten years in Meatpacking last month. The store is pretty basic in its design (there's white oak floors, wood ceiling beams, and a concrete facade), which according to WWD, means it can be easily replicated.

Donata Minelli, the brand's CEO, explains that in the next five years, there will hopefully be ten more Yigal Azrouël stores (the next is headed for Russia) and five more locations for the diffusion line, Cut25. There's already one of those in Soho, and Minelli says that they're looking at Lexington Avenue for another.
