Designer Michelle Zimmerman of Delicate Raymond had so much success with her pop-up shop this summer that she decided to open a permanent store. Located on Orchard Street between Broome and Grand, the new boutique carries Zimmerman's modern, feminine collection, which was inspired in part by her gemologist grandfather Raymond.
It's also got a few extra perks, including what Zimmerman calls a "never-ending supply" of vintage '80s costume jewelry selling for $5 a pop. In addition, she's offering a "Build-a-Bear workshop of jewelery," the Delicate Raymond Jewelry Bar, where visitors can customize bracelets, earrings, and necklaces to suit their needs. And for girls aged four and up, she's selling Mini Delicate Raymond, a line of jewelry that comes with extenders so that the pieces can grow with the child.
