As our search for New York City's hottest trainer speeds up, we're moving to two profiles a day. Once you've gotten to know everyone, we'll host a March Madness-style showdown in which you get to vote for your favorite. Let the games begin!Photos by William Chan
Our 15th contestant has been a boxing trainer since 2004, however, he first picked up the sport when he was six-years-old. Since then, he's accumulated a slew of awards; he's a two-time professional European kickboxing champion, and a two-time world champion. On how he's kept things interesting over the years, he says, "Varying your workouts is great because, it keeps things challenging. And you won't be bored."
He currently trains at Punch Fitness and Mendez Boxing Gym, but be warned—if you enlist his services, he won't go easy on you. Of his "no-pity attitude," Thomas says, "I often tell my clients that I am not afraid to push them and kick their butts. Surprisingly, this is what many people need because the body is stronger than the mind thinks it is." However, we're sure his charming French accent heals all wounds.
