Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.
Solange Knowles isn't the quirkiest thing about this fall's Madewell catalog. In addition to featuring Beyoncé's Brooklyn-dwelling little sister, the publication has an entire page dedicated to lovably oddball little LES shop Top Hat. Madewell has always made strategic alliances with local stores, and Top Hat seems like a perfect fit, since its selection of hard-to-find paper goods complements the brand's grown-up school-girl aesthetics.
Madewell's website has a range of Top Hat merchandise, including marking clips topped off with woodland creatures, patterned masking tape, and a butterscotch polka-dot notebook that would be just as cute if it came in the form of a blouse.
