Opening Ceremony's Bag Debut; An Astor Place Sidewalk Festival

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

EVERYWHERE—Opening Ceremony has just debuted its first collection of handbags, all of which are named after one of the brand's locations—there's the OCNY, the OC Ace, the OC Tokyo, etc. For the lookbook, they asked some of their sales associates, buyers, and designers to model each bag; click through for a shot of each. ASTOR PLACE—If you find yourself with nothing to do tomorrow between 1pm and 4pm (or if you just need to get out of your office for an hour), stop by the TOWN Astor Place Sidewalk Festival at 26 Astor Place. Festivities include a raffle with prizes for a month of free yoga, a blowout, and a makeup application, along with ice cream from The Standard East Village and 20% off food and drinks at Bahr Che. To burn off all those treats immediately after, there will also be a free outdoor yoga class from Yoga Vida NYC. [RackedWire]
