UPPER EAST SIDE—Court officials at the U.S. Open wear colorful tennis gear designed by Ralph Lauren. Jealous? You could try to get a job as a ball boy, or you could just stop by the two uptown flagships (888 Madison for women and 867 Madison for men), which will be selling replicas of the uniforms starting Monday and running through September 9th. The line is also available on the Ralph Lauren website. [NYT]
PARK SLOPE—The fourth annual Brooklyn Bike Jumble, a flea market dedicated entirely to two-wheeled rides, runs all day Saturday, September 8th. Not only is it a chance for the borough's entire bike community to schmooze, but it's the source of some great deals—used bikes start at $50, though new ones and rarities can go up to $1000.
