When Ghurka opened its flagship at the Sherry-Netherland Hotel, they did so with a bang—the boutique showcased the lines leather goods, bags, and accessories along one very large motorcycle. Now that they've confirmed plans for a second store, we'll soon get to see how they'll top that one.
The new boutique is expected to open in October, at a prime retail spot on Prince Street between Crosby and Lafayette. The high-traffic location fits in well with the Fifth Avenue flagship, though The Shophound recalls a time when Ghurka's placement wasn't so ideal. Before it moved into the Sherry-Netherland, "it went from Madison Avenue to the
black hole unfortunate underground spot in what was once the Plaza Hotel's 'Retail Collection.'"
