Earlier this month, Movie Star News on W. 18th Street announced plans to close, due to high rents and the rise of digital photography. Owner Ira Kramer intended to take the merchandise to a warehouse in New Jersey, but Vanishing New York reports that instead, it's all been sold to a Las Vegas auction house for seven figures. Presumably, a good chunk of that was Bettie Page collectibles, since the shop was founded by famed pin-up photographer Irving Klaw. [JVNY]
