It's hard to believe that Kate Spade, home of all that's prim and proper and preppy and girly, doesn't have a Madison Avenue store, but as of now, the brand only has two New York locations, one in Soho and one in the Flatiron District. That's all set to change, though, as the Spade team is planning a flagship for 789 Madison.

The space is a retail townhouse with a 1,500-square-foot ground floor, a mezzanine, a third floor, and a basement—plenty of room for the full range of Kate Spade's offerings. Women's Wear Daily doesn't have information on the launch date, but it can't be any time too soon, since Chanel's temporary store currently occupies the space.
