New York City has more stores than anyone could physically tackle, but somehow we always keep returning to the usual suspects. Marni Golden is the editorial director at StyleCaster, where she does everything from producing celebrity fashion editorials to working on the company's annual 50 Most Stylish New Yorkers feature—along with its brand-new West Coast equivalent. (She's casting LA's most stylish as we speak.) Here, she fills us in on her favorite West Village apothecary.
Move over. C.O. Bigelow Chemists. There's a better pharmacy in town, and it's just around the corner. If you're a beauty junkie like myself, and if seeing walls of brands like Mario Badescu, Davines, Kiehl's, Dr. Hauschka, Bumble & Bumble, Frederic Fekkai, Labello and J?SÖN causes your mouth to water, look no further than Avignone Pharmacy, nestled comfortably in the West Village.
This is, in fact, a full functioning pharmacy, but their leg-up rests in their massive stock of hard-to-find European bath and beauty product. On top of their rare roster of product, the staff is incredibly kind, attentive and generous with samples. This is place is any high maintenance person's dream and is undoubtedly my one-stop shop for everything from deodorant to de-frizzer.· Avignone Cheists [Facebook]
