New York City has more stores than anyone could physically tackle, but somehow we always keep returning to the usual suspects. To break out of the rut, we've asked some local shopping and fashion gurus to provide their hidden retail gems—those unique stores around our fantastic city that we might not all know about. Cue the Beatles: We're about to get a little help from our friends.

As much as I love New York, getting out of the city is essential from time to time and I love checking out The Antique Shop. The window display is always flawless and on point like a trend page from a fashion magazine. Which makes me wonder if the fabulous iconic Grace Coddington, another regular, has something to do with it?
Once you are through the door, you feel like Dorothy as it feels more like you landed in a forgotten Parisian Antiques Atelier from another time. Inside this treasure box you will find obscure paintings, charming glassware, vintage clothing, industrial furniture, turn-of-the0century toys and dolls, Navajo textiles, scientific artifacts, unusual sculptures and nautical objects. As well as trinkets that you didn't even consider fabulous until you see them displayed here in a totally new light. But my favorite part, besides the owners who are just as fabulous as their store, is the selection of jewelry.
