Second Time Around just opened its first non-Manhattan location in New York City, and guess what? It's not in Brooklyn. The high-end consignment shop, which starred in Bravo's reality show Fashion Hunters, just opened a space on Austin Street, the main shopping drag of leafy Queens neighborhood Forest Hills. This marks the sixth New York store for the chain, and the 32nd nationwide.
Like the locations uptown and in Soho and Chelsea, the Queens store will carry labels like Louis Vuitton, DVF,, and Marc Jacobs. Drop off your unwanted designer goods, and staffers will price them at between 65% and 70% off their retail value. When they sell, you get 40% of the final price. Forest Hills super-shoppers can even request a home visit from a stylist if they've got at least 50 pieces to sell.
