You may want to take it easy this weekend, because four of the summer's biggest sample sales are kicking off this Tuesday. The YSL and Tory Burch sales will begin on the 12th, and WreakHavoc reports that Rag and Bone will start on the
13th 14th at Chelsea Market. As for the week after that? On the 19th, racks upon racks of J.Crew merchandise will arrive at 260 Sample Sale.
Since we've already posted on YSL and Tory Burch, let's take a look at what to expect from the other two. The last J.Crew sample sale in November was underwhelming, with Racked commenters pointing out that both the pricing and selection had been much better in previous years. We suggest bringing a heap of patience, since you'll have to contend with big crowds and sort through less than stellar merchandise.
On the other hand, shoppers seemed to fare a lot better at the Rag and Bone sale. It opened a day early, though that didn't prevent a "40-person pile-up" from forming on day two. In short, denim was priced at $98, T-shirts and sweaters ranged from $40 and $150, and the shoes were $195 unless they were made in Italy—those were $350. One final tip: Our reporter recommended carbing up on one of the market's cupcakes before heading inside for extra stamina.
Update: Rag and Bone has let us know that the sale will begin on the 14th.
