12 Lions Studio Aims to Recreate the Henri Bendel of Yesteryear

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Instead of just opening one boutique in Noho, 12 Lion Studios founder Steve Hernandez has decided to open several. The space, located at 684 Broadway, is composed of a handful of mini boutiques from emerging designers, all bundled into one location.

Hernandez explains his goal was to "replicate the Henri Bendel of yesteryear—a high traffic space truly focused on indie designers." The studio carries just about everything, including clothing, footwear, and accessories for men, women, and children. See the entire list of vendors here, or pop in on Thursdays through Saturdays to check out the merchandise firsthand.
